About us

Made by people who steep too many times a day.

🍵

We're a small crew of tea drinkers who got tired of losing track of which gaiwan poured which steep. ChitraRoast 2 started as a scratch-built timer for our own multi-infusion sessions and grew into a full tasting journal built by people who actually sit down for Gongfu Cha most evenings.

🌿

Our mission is simple: give every cup the record it deserves. A great steep is data as much as it is ritual — leaf weight, water temperature, infusion time, how the liquor tasted on the third pour versus the eighth. We built the tool we wished existed so that none of that insight gets lost between sessions.

📜

Inside the app you'll find a Gongfu brew timer built for dozens of consecutive infusions, a water-to-leaf ratio calculator, temperature presets for green through pu-erh, a photo gallery for dry leaf and liquor color, flavor spider graphs, and an aging vault for tracking pu-erh and oolong cakes over years of maturation — all backed by printable session sheets and full offline access.

Steep with intention, remember every cup.

Designed for

  • Gongfu Cha practitioners tracking complex multi-steep sessions
  • Tea collectors monitoring pu-erh and oolong aging over years
  • Craft tea roasters refining water ratios and temperature control
  • Anyone who wants their tasting notes to outlast their memory
Privacy policy

Nothing collected. Nothing to protect from us.

Effective Date: August 2026 — ChitraRoast 2 collects, stores, and transmits absolutely no personal data. Everything runs on your device.

01 Information We Collect

We collect nothing. ChitraRoast 2 has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no email collection, and no location tracking. There is no analytics SDK embedded in the app and no background data gathering of any kind. Everything you enter — leaf weights, steeping times, tasting notes, flavor ratings, leaf and liquor photos, aging-cake purchase dates, storage humidity logs — is created by you and stays with you.

02 How We Use Information

Because nothing is collected, nothing is used, analyzed, or sold. There are no algorithms studying your tasting habits and no data pipelines running in the background. Every calculation — your ratio results, steeping curves, flavor spider graphs, and consumption trend charts — happens directly on your device, in real time, using only what you've entered.

03 Data Storage

All app data — your tea photos, tasting sheets, aging calendar entries, and session history — is stored locally in the app's storage on your phone or tablet. There is no cloud sync, no remote server, and no external database. Nothing you record ever leaves your device.

04 Third-Party Services

ChitraRoast 2 contains no third-party analytics, no advertising networks, no tracking pixels, and no embedded SDKs of any kind. The app does not share information with any outside company because it does not have any information to share.

05 Data Security

Because your data never travels off your device, there is no transmission to intercept and no remote database to breach. Security is inherent to the app's local-only design — your tasting library is only ever as exposed as your device itself, which remains under your control at all times.

06 Children's Privacy

ChitraRoast 2 does not knowingly or unknowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Since no data collection occurs for any user, the app is inherently compliant with COPPA and similar child-privacy protections.

07 Your Control

You have complete control over your data at all times. Every photo, tasting note, aging log, and session report lives only in the app on your device. There are no cloud backups and no linked accounts to manage. If you wish to remove your data entirely, simply delete the app — everything associated with it is removed along with it.

08 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app's features or for legal clarity. Any revision will be posted here with an updated effective date. Since we collect no data, changes will typically be limited to wording and structure.
